General Conference

April 23 - May 3, 2024

Thank you for being a congregation that Seek GOD, Love One Another, and Reach out as we make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world! 


In worship on Sunday, March 17, 2024, three of our leaders -- Karen Rigsbee, lay leader; Robyn Maynard, lay delegate to Annual Conference (and Trustee chair); and John Krutz, executive board -- shared information, updates, and Calvary UMC's communication plan regarding our international denominational meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.    


Please join us as we pray for our delegates, worship leaders, musicians, interpreters, support staff, bishops, our congregations, and our denomination. 

Calvary UMC's Communication and Prayer Plan:

  • March 17
  • share in 10am worship, basic information presented by leaders (lay delegate, lay leader, and executive board chair)
  • Week of March 18
  • a) Special GC only email sent to members/constituents with information and ways to engage in GC stuff
  • b)    designated section of CUMC website to also have this information
  • April 14
  • QandA session (but required reading ahead of time so that questions are informed)
  • April 21
  • Prayer Station in sanctuary before and after worship
  • April 28 
  • Prayer station in sanctuary before and after worship
  • QandA session 
  • Post May 11th meeting with Dr. Fulbright
  • CUMC will have a QandA session & information sharing with congregation of “impacts of GC…” after we meetas a District
