Weekly Choir Rehearsals
The music ministry at Calvary is an integral part of the worship life of our congregation, and we have opportunities for all ages and abilities! I encourage you to consider joining one of our outstanding ensembles this fall. In addition to participating in worship, several of Calvary’s choirs will be reaching out to the community through nursing home visits, attending retreats and conferences, and caroling in December. Please don’t hesitate to contact Mark Herris if you have any questions.
Praise Choir
The Praise Choir leads Calvary’s congregation in song each Sunday at our 9 am traditional worship service. The choir meets from 6:30 – 8:00 pm every Wednesday in the choir room, and childcare is available. Auditions are not necessary to be a part of this outstanding group, although a love of singing is required!
Calvary Schola
Calvary Schola is a select choir that sings regularly in worship. The choir sings primarily a capella works by great historic and contemporary composers. Schola meets at 8:00 pm every Wednesday in the choir room. Strong music reading skills are necessary to join this choir. Please contact Mark Herris for more information.
Praise Band
The Praise Band leads Calvary’s congregation in song each Sunday at our 11:11 am contemporary worship service. The band meets from 10:00 – 11:00 am every Sunday in the Sanctuary. We are in need of instrumentalists! Please contact Mark Herris for more information.
Chancel Ringers
Calvary’s handbell choir plays regularly in worship and participation is open to all ages and abilities. The handbell choir meets from 7:00 – 8:00 pm every Thursday in the choir room, and childcare is available.

Friendly, small group study with open discussion and shared leadership.
Home Builders - Adult
Free and easy discussion in classroom format.

Seekers - Adult
A small group that has been meeting for years under the leadership of Florence Burcham, leader emeritus.
Women's Ministries
Mom's Group
Calvary Moms' Group is a supportive group of women dedicated to growing in faith as Christian wives and mothers through Bible-based, Christian-based or inspirational study. We socialize, share our prayer concerns and joys, share our different views of family oriented subjects, and have a study lesson.
You do not need to be a member or attending Calvary UMC to participate in our group. You also do not need to have young children.
Please make time to join our group on Thursday mornings, 9-11. Childcare is available through PDO ($2 per child, supplemented by Moms' treasury).
United Methodist Women
The UMW organization offers supportive fellowship through Jesus Christ; is pledged to ministries with women, children, and youth; and is involved in mission programs locally and globally.
The UMW is hosting four special events in 2007 and has monthly leadership meetings.
Prayer Warriors
This group of women meet every Wednesday morning and pray for Calvary, her members, her leadership, her staff, individual prayer request, and each other.
